Designer Greetings~

Hey there,

My name’s Cody Foster-Demeny; I’m the youngest of a young and dynamic team that makes up Marketing Blendz. I take on a handful of things, but my title would essentially be that of designer. I design static versions of sites tailored to market your products, services and company (as well as take part in creating the responsive version), develop a meaningful logo that communicates who you are and targets your appropriate audience, as well as offer design solutions to any print projects you may have. My responsibility is basically ensuring that design and function feel seamless and intuitive to both you, and your audience.

I hadn’t always pictured myself in the position I am today - I started schooling with the intent of doing solely print work, in hopes that I could one day design my own clothing – I did what I could to stay with this idea; while I studied at John Abbott College in Publication Design & Hypermedia Technologies, I volunteered to be production manager of the schools newspaper “The Bandersnatch.” My time there was short and sweet, as the workload became too heavy and I had to give up my position the following semester. This allowed me to broaden where I invested my time, and made me reconsider what my priorities were. Though, still I had been enjoying print more than web.

It wasn’t until my final semester, when I took a stage at Kontact Media that I realized how much I had missed. I was introduced to a whole new level of web appreciation, and since then have grown tremendously in technical thought. After my stage had ended, and I had successfully graduated from Abbott, I was contacted by Kontact Media to be hired. The transition from school to the workplace was effectively the easiest and smoothest process one could wish for; I was already acquainted with the team, I knew of the expectations, and I already was in love with the environment that it came with. After several months of working for Kontact Media, there was an opportunity to merge into Marketing Blendz, and it was taken!

While I’m not working at Marketing Blendz, I go to my second passion – video games. Whether it’s a fast paced first-person shooter, or a slow turn-based strategy, I’ve always been investing a ton of my free time into video games – occasionally working part time as a tester, and a couple times as an in-game moderator.

I’m incredibly excited to be a part of this process, and as an insider, I’m thrilled to be an essential gear in what makes Marketing Blendz a fully functional company. I’ll be looking forward to hearing from you, and I’ll be excited and ready to materialize any project you envision!
